Newsline - Focus on Faculty - DePaul University French professor Pascale-Anne Brault has joined the ranks of an elite group, receiving the Ordre National du Mérite, which recognizes distinguished service to France. At DePaul nearly 25 years, Brault is active in teaching and mentorship, translation, editing and research. Currently director of the French program, she also held that position from 2002-2009. She has translated more than 10 books into English, as well as numerous articles and chapters. A scholar of French philosopher Jaques Derrida, she serves on the editorial board for the journal Derrida Today. She is also editor of Mille-Feuille, DePaul’s French literary magazine.
