Chloe Williams, a chemistry major and summer intern in the Pritzker Laboratory for Molecular Systematics at the Field Museum, conducts a DNA sequencing experiment on lichen, an organism formed on fungi, Friday, July 22, 2016. Williams spent the summer studying and determining lichen diversity and its biogeography from an evolutionary perspective. Thanks to the College of Science and Health’s Dean’s Undergraduate Fellowship, a 10-week summer program, Williams and other CSH students gained real life experience and applicable skills that help make them world ready.
