The Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, C.M., president of DePaul University, and David Miller, dean of the College of Computing and Digital Media (CDM), join the CDM Security Daemons team who earned Third Place at the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. The Daemons are a student organization for indergraduate/graduate students interested in Computer, Information, and Network Security. The competition was held April 22-24 in San Antonio, Texas. CCDC is a program aimed at providing students with the opportunity to practice and enhance their cyber skills in a competitive environment while allowing institutions to assess their student's depth of understanding and operational management of challenges in protecting a corporate network and information system. The competitions are designed to have students assume administrative and protective duties by having each team respond to and balance security and business needs.
